A stainless steel metal business card designed by Noel Pelavin . This is a very unique stainless steel business card. The card is 100 % stainless steel with a (.5mm) thickness and all chemically etched. In addition, the business card has very interesting dimensions only being (just over 4” ) in length and (just over 1” ) in height. Adding to it’s beauty is a combination of bold fonts with a touch of elegance as seen in the logo of NRP. The business card has nice dynamic graphics with super crisp lettering with the top part of the refresh symbol completely etched out through the steel and as the top parts of the lettering in the logo of the (R) and (P). A personal business card inspiration by Noel Pelavin. I was looking for a modern card which exhibits the flavors of an industrial design yet elegant and simply in it’s appearance. The card used is a heavy gage 24-pt cotton/board with a dark charcoal color and was completely designed with laser technology . In addition the lower lettering was laser cut with a slight impression having a light grey appearance. This was not an easy task to find any company to produce, when using these specs. Based entirely on our own design, the cards have been Litho printed on rounded 400gsm Silk Art Board, with Matt Lamination and Spot-UV varnishing.

Naturally our aspirations were to make them stand out, and be a little ‘different’. The cyan colouring and Spot-Varnish give them a real nice presence, and the QR code leads to a mobile-device optimised microsite.

Aster Avenue Inc. is a design studio that works from a principle of mutually informed graphic design. We’ve concluded that designing from a basic and mutually well-understood premise can help us design better, operationalize your project sooner and help your business grow.

It is with this premise in mind that the business card was designed. Using seed paper which, when planted in the ground and watered, will grow aster flowers- symbolic of the planting and watering of ideas that grow into flourishing business. The Aster logo is letter-pressed to convey the impact that great design can make on the image of a business. Finally for versatility and cost-effectiveness, each individual’s information is applied with a wraparound sticker.
